The
first USF Lakeland commencement was held May 3, 2001, in the Polk Theatre
in Lakeland, FL. With more than 75 graduates and over 1,100 guests, the
commencement ceremony was a huge success. So many attended the first ceremony,
the event was moved to the Youkey Theatre of the Lakeland Center. This
was the site for the second spring commencement held May 7, 2002. The
Spring 2002 Commencement ceremony graduated more than 90 individuals with
more than 2,000 guests in attendance.
