Mission
The
Office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness and Planning (IREP) coordinates
institutional research, strategic planning, institutional effectiveness,
and accreditation for USF-Lakeland. IREP provides leadership in data
administration for USF Lakeland by providing timely, accurate information
and high-quality customer service. IREP provides information about campus
operations and performance to various stakeholders, including campus
leadership and Board of Trustees, University administration, academic
and administrative departments, state and federal agencies, and the community
at-large.
IREP Functions
I. Data Management:
IREP is the clearinghouse and official reporting office for information about USF-Lakeland and the communities it serves. IREP staff members collect, analyze, and present information to assist campus and University decision- and policy-makers.
II. Assessment:
IREP coordinates and supports of USF-Lakeland's role in maintaining the USF's Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation, as well as discipline- and profession-based accreditations. These functions include technical assistance to academic units in assessment of student learning outcomes and information collection/analysis for administrative units' and continuous quality improvement efforts.
III. Planning:
IREP coordinates the strategic planning process for the campus, at the direction of the Vice President and Campus Executive Officer, by engaging the campus community in inclusive, ongoing, iterative planning and implementation activities. IREP also coordinates faculty assignments, evaluation, and reporting.
IREP Publications & Reports
RESEARCH@LAKELAND: A quarterly
newsletter, distributed to several thousand recipients in the
USF-L service area, which highlights the scholarly research efforts
of Lakeland-based faculty and key institutional research findings.
Distributed both in print and electronically.
The USF-Lakeland FACTBOOK: An
annual report of descriptive statistics and analyses of the USF-Lakeland
student body, enrollment and financial data, and other performance
information.
BENCHMARK BULLETIN: A by-term
newsletter for USF-Lakeland staff and faculty which highlights
recent enrollment and planning benchmarks.
