An
Associate of Arts (AA) Degree From a Florida Community College
There are no state-mandated Common prerequisites for this
degree program.
Students wishing to transfer and be admitted to the
USF College of Arts and Sciences at the junior level from a
Florida public community college, should follow a general,
liberal arts program leading to the Associate of Arts degree
and:
- Be accepted by the university a degreeseeking
student..
- Complete a minimum of 60 semester hours.
- Earn at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA in all college
courses completed before entrance.
Students are encouraged to choose from the following courses, if
available, during their program of study at the community college,
and when feasible in the General Education/Gordon Rule courses.

Areas
ISS students choose two cognate areas and must complete twelve semester
hours in each area. The cognate areas available on the Lakeland
campus are:

Women’s Studies Special
Electives
Three special electives emphasizing cultural diversity are also
added. One from each of the following areas:
