USF Lakeland to Hold Video-Conference
Class on E-Commerce
LAKELAND,
FL (December 17, 2001) - As
society in general becomes more technology oriented, USF Lakeland provides
classes to help everyone stay on the cutting edge. The University of South
Florida will be holding a video-conference class on Electronic Commerce
during the upcoming Spring semester.
The course, given through the Information Technology program, is one of
the newest programs at USF, and will be teleconferenced from the Lakeland
campus to other USF campuses. This will allow students from any of the
four USF campuses to participate in the course via video conferencing.
It will include a broad overview of how electric commerce has evolved,
what e-commerce is, how it is being conducted and managed and its major
opportunities, limitations, issues and risks.
E-commerce classes will be held Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. –
8:50 p.m., beginning January 7, 2002, and the only pre-requisites are
Basic PC Computer Skills. Registration for classes at USF Lakeland is
open until January 7, 2002.
For more information on the course contact Information Technology Program
Director, Frank Young at (863) 667-7071 or IT and Electronic Commerce
Professor, Bill Harding at (863) 667-7027.
