FL (August 30, 2007) - - Rosemarie Lamm, R.N., Ph.D., director of the University of South Florida Lakeland Rath Senior ConNEXTions and Education Center, spoke this morning to members of the Lakeland Christina Rotary Club at Cleveland Heights Golf & Country Club in Lakeland.
Dr. Lamm, a member of the Arts & Sciences faculty, discussed programs available at the Rath Center and issues related to aging and elder care. Following her speech she fielded questions about the sociological implications of an aging population and opportunities for community involvement in Rath Center activities.
The University of South Florida Lakeland Rath Senior ConNEXTions and Education Center offers older adult educational programs, services, resources, and referrals. For details call (863) 533-5925.
Dr. Lamm's presentation was hosted by Cindy Rowles, MBA, director of Business, Finance and Auxiliary Services for USF Lakeland. According to Rowles, a Rotarian, "This was a great opportunity for members of our club to learn more about some very important programs, resources and scholarship through the Rath Center."
