FL (October 12, 2007) - Rosemarie S. Lamm, Ph.D., director of the University of South Florida Lakeland Rath Senior ConNEXTions and Education Center, presented “University and Community collaboration with Senior Adults” at the 7th Annual International Conference on Service-Learning Research: Sustainability and Scholarship.
Her presentation focused on how the community, including university programs, can best serve senior adults. She highlighted the collaboration between community organizations and the Rath Center, which has coordinated services in the community while identifying the needs of elders and their families.
“This service learning benefits not only USF Lakeland students but also seniors in the community,” Lamm said.
The conference was sponsored by USF and The International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement. It took place October 6-9, 2007, at The Marriott Waterside in Tampa, Florida.
