LAKELAND,
FL (February 13, 2003) - Dr. Rosemarie Lamm, Assistant Professor, College of Arts and Sciences at USF Lakeland, has been elected as a Fellow of the Society for Applied Anthropology. The primary objective of the Society is the scientific investigation of "the principles controlling the relations of human beings to one another.and the wide application of those principles to practical problems."
She will present her current anthropology research, "Seamless and Accessible: action anthropology for the aging," at the SFAA 2003 meeting in Portland, OR, in March. The presentation will incorporate the research findings related to elder needs with the Caregivers Initiative Grant directed for the Polk County Elderly Services and the West Central Florida Are Agency on Aging in 2002.
