Through Quality Leader’s Symposium
LAKELAND,
FL (April 22, 2003) - Are
you a quality leader eager to receive motivation and encouragement? Don't
miss Dr. Lorraine Monroe, nationally recognized motivational and educational
speaker through the Quality School Leaders Symposia, Wednesday,
April 30, 2003, 7:00 p.m., at Kathleen High School, Lakeland,
FL.
The groundbreaking work of Dr. Monroe has been featured on 60 Minutes, Tony
Brown's Journal, The McCreary Report, in Ebony Magazine. Her work has appeared in The
New York Times, Reader's Digest, Parade Magazine, Fast
Company Magazine, leading to the publication of book, Nothing's Impossible: Leadership Lessons from Inside and Outside the Classroom. Additionally, Dr. Monroe is the founder of the Frederick Douglass Academy, a highly effective middle and high school located in Central Harlem.
Prior to the evening's symposium, Dr. Monroe will host a ½ day workshop for over 30 local Polk County Principals involved in the Quality School Leaders Symposia (QSLS).
This special event is sponsored by the USF Lakeland/Polk County Schools/Polk Businesses for World Class Education Quality School Leaders Symposia.
The QSLS is collaboration of area businesses with local educators in a unique partnership geared toward enriching and expanding the skills of school administrators. Seed money for the Symposia was granted through the Wallace Reader's Digest Ventures
in Leadership grant, provided to USF Lakeland for an Administrator's Institute.
