LAKELAND,
FL (February 9, 2005) - The
University of South Florida Lakeland Department of Information Technology
announces a colloquium in its ongoing colloquium series which is
open to the public. The current presenter, Dr. Paul Bao, will be
discussing "Low Bitrate Multimedia Coding with its Comparison with
MPEG4 and Application in Multimedia Communications", on Tuesday,
February 15, 2005 at 12:00 p.m.
On Friday, February 18, 2005 at 12:00 p.m., Dr. Kamal Dahbur will
be speaking on the "Systemic Identification of Potential Patterns
for Serial Criminals". Both events will be held on the USF Lakeland
campus in room LLC 2125.
These colloquia are being presented by prospective candidates for
the position of Instructor and Assistant/Associate Professor for
USF Lakeland's Department of Information Technology. Additional
colloquia in the series will be announced.
