LAKELAND,
FL (December 29, 2004) - The
University of South Florida Lakeland and Citrus & Chemical Bank
have joined together to develop a Bank Leadership Certificate Program
tailored specifically for C&C employees currently in leadership
roles or aspiring to become future bank leaders. Such a program
provides an opportunity for employees to enhance their current skills,
be better prepared for leadership roles, increase teamwork and sensitivity
to customers and encourage community involvement. Particularly,
this leadership program will focus on team building, coping with
and embracing change, critical thinking and problem solving, communication
at all levels, motivation and empowerment, staff development and
retention, resolving conflict, negotiation, customer service, ethics
and community involvement and volunteerism. The program will begin
this January 2005 with a total of 12 students from branches throughout
Polk County. Enrollment is limited to provide the optimal training
opportunity.
A Kick-Off Reception will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at
3:00 p.m. at the Citrus & Chemical Bank on 600 North Broadway Avenue
in Bartow. The reception will be attended by USF representatives,
C&C Bank management and the students. The classes will be held in
the training facility of the C&C Bank Bartow branch and tours will
