Conference
Many
of the region's leading health and wellness practitioners and nationally
respected scholars will descend upon Lakeland in late August for
a professional conference that brings cutting-edge research to central
Florida. The two-day conference, Journey through Aging, is hosted
by the University of South Florida Lakeland in conjunction with
the USF School of Social Work, USF Rath Senior ConNEXTions and Education
Center, Watson Clinic, LLC, Coalition on Aging Think Tank, and Polk
County Medical Association is designed to explore health and human
service issues relating to the aging population. Read

06-17-2005 • USF Lakeland Schedules Workshop to Discuss Master Plan
for New Primary Campus
A
workshop to discuss the master plan for the University of South
Florida Lakeland's new primary campus has been scheduled for Monday,
July 25, 2005. The new 530+ acre campus will be located at the intersection
of the Polk County Parkway and Interstate 4. The workshop will be
held on the Lakeland campus from 2:00pm-5:00pm in LLC 2125. This
workshop is open to the public, and all are invited to attend. For

Tickets
are on sale now to meet Pro Football Hall of Famer and President
of the USF Foundation Partnership for Athletics Lee Roy Selmon,
USF Head Basketball Coach Robert McCullum, and USF Lakeland Vice
President and CEO Preston Mercer at the Community Luncheon, hosted
by the Polk County Alumni Chapter of the USF Alumni Association.
